Environment - Parc Natural de Collserola

The InOut Hostel is located in the middle of the Collserola mountain range. Collserola is a very unique natural park, it is a sample of Mediterranean fauna and flora, and this diversity reveals the biological richness of this lung of the metropolitan area, located between Barcelonès and Vallès, between the rivers Besòs and Llobregat.

With approximate dimensions of 11,100 Ha of surface, a length of 17 km and a width of 6 km, it has a soft and rather asymmetrical relief: while the Valais ridges are long and with a gentle descent, the slopes facing the sea are short and with a pronounced slope. The natural wealth of Collserola is made up of its forests, maquis, thickets, meadows and crops, etc...

The wild boar is an emblematic animal of the forests of Collserola, but its proliferation outside its genuine habitat must be avoided because of the resources it easily finds in the urban environment (rubbish, grass...).
